Built in 1906 by blacksmith Thomas Breen this century-old house has become a historic site since 2006. Thomas Breen was born in Liverpool in 1881. His parents of Irish and Catholic origin immigrated to England, fleeing the great famine.

Named after Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Amerindian woman to convert to Catholicism.
