"How To" Webinar Series on the Quebec Military
Many know of the Carignan-Salières regiment and their impact on Canadian demography. Their coming has even been
recognized as an element of Canadian heritage. However, they represent only a fraction of military immigration in Quebec,
which represents more than the third of all immigration in the 18th century. In this lecture, we will discuss these other military
troops, the diverse cultures they brought with them to Canada under the French regime (1534-1760), and how to access
various databases and websites for information.
